NLC India Limited Recruitment: NLC India Limited issued a notification for the recruitment of 19 Junior Overman (Trainee) and Mining Sirdar (Selection Grade-I) Posts. Eligibility
For the Junior Overman (Trainee) post, candidates must have a Diploma in Mining or Mining Engineering or any similar qualification approved by the Central Government.
They must also hold a valid Overman’s Certificate of Competency from DGMS as per the Coal Mines Regulation 2017 or any other certificate that allows them to work as an Overman under those regulations. Additionally, a valid First Aid Certificate is required.
For the Mining Sirdar (Selection Grade-I) post, candidates should either have:
- A Diploma or Degree in any subject (except Mining Engineering), along with a Mining Sirdar Certificate issued by DGMS and a valid First Aid Certificate,
OR - A Diploma in Mining, an Overman Competency Certificate issued by DGMS, and a valid First Aid Certificate.

- Age Relaxation for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen candidates will be as per Government of India guidelines. Valid certificates must be uploaded during registration.
- In case of no reservation for OBC (NCL)/SC/ST in a post, candidates applying under these categories for unreserved vacancies will be treated as General, and no age relaxation will be given.
- Ex-Servicemen (ESM) age relaxation will be as per existing Government of India norms.
- Age limits do not apply to current employees of NLCIL or its subsidiaries/joint ventures, provided they have a minimum of 2 years of remaining service as of the crucial date.
- In all cases, the maximum age limit is 58 years on the crucial date
